Directions

Setup: Lay all the cards out on a flat surface, face down.  Put the cards close to each other to form a grid pattern.  Each player is given a Master List card for reference.

Play: One player turns over a card and reads it, looks at his/her Master List to see what the match is, and then picks another card to turn over.  If there is no match, the two cards get turned back over and it's the next player's turn.  If the second card completes the Beatitude, the player takes the two cards and places them in front of him/her, starting a pile of matches. The player's turn continues until he/she misses a match, and then it is the next player's turn.  The game continues until all the cards are matched.  The player with the most cards wins!

Match Example:
Card 1 is "#6 Blessed are the pure in heart" which matches
Card 2 "for they shall see God."

FOR A GREATER CHALLENGE: After players are familiar with the Beatitudes, play the game again WITHOUT the Master List for reference.
