He was ordained at Three Oaks, Michigan, on November 22, 1910.
After serving at Huntington, Connecticut, for two years, he came to Southington in 1925. He was the author of "The Four Gospels and the Christian Life" and "The Career and Significance of Jesus."
Dr. Deny resigned his pastorate here to become a professor at Russell Sage College. While on Sabbatical leave in London, England, he died on June 23, 1937. He was survived by his wife, the former Miss Lois Miriam Jeynes, and his son by his first marriage, Wayne M. Denny, who also graduated from Oberlin College in 1935.
