Our tenth pastor was the Rev. Frank R. Kahler. He was born in Millersburg, Pa., on October 16, 1857. He was graduated from Pennsylvania College at the age of 24. After teaching two years at Mifflinsburg, he entered Yale Divinity School, from which he was graduated in 1886. That same year he was ordained in North Guilford. He remained there until called to Southington, where he had supplied the pulpit a few times. He was hired for one year, during which time he was efficient and faithful and endeared himself to all his people.
