The Peace Café is a multi-purpose space. The Parents & Tots group and Boy Scouts will continue to use it, as will other groups.
It is a state-of-the-art theater with surround sound and a large screen projection system for movie nights, family nights, Confirmation Class, youth groups, discussion groups and more.
It is also a music theater with stage, lighting and sound. In addition to monthly coffee house on the second Saturday with guest performers, it is used for talent shows, youth coffee houses, drama productions, sing-a-longs, social gatherings and more.
Resources to create this special place came from three sources: designated private donations, Sprint/Nextel rent money and proceeds from our Fall dramatic productions.
We thank the Peace Café Committee, headed by Dee Elloian, Rich McCarty & Dan Gabree for countless hours of work. We also thank everyone who has invested their Time, Talent or Treasure in making this a reality and ongoing mission of the First Congregational Church of Southington, Connecticut.
