MISSIONS COMMITTEE
"...for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me."
- Matthew 25:35-36

WHO WE ARE
We are members of a very generous church family who are concerned not only about our local community, but the community of the world --- people we know and people we will never meet but have needs. A great deal of mission work is done throughout many different groups of our church
The Missions Committee purpose is to …
- To guide our church’s activity in the world
- To heighten awareness and participation in local, state, national, and international missions
- To manage ongoing mission projects of our church
- To provide people with diverse “hands-on” opportunities to positively influence the community
- To dream and implement ways to extend our hear and hands to the world in which we live
- To work with and educate the congregation on their role in the missions ministry
THE MISSION OF OUR FACILITY
Our church building is in use by organizations which serve the community, such as: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, AA, Alternative High School, YMCA, Southington Social Services Department, Southington Festival Choral, the Chamber of Commerce. Providing this space at little or no cost to the organizations is an important way we serve our community.
The Missions Committee thanks you for your support of all the mission work done in this church. We ask that you continue to respond when your help is requested. Together we will continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
